LORI GARABEDIANPT, CEO/Owner
Lori received her B.S. in PT from Northeastern University in 1992. Founder of Adams Physical Therapy, LLC in July 2011. 25 years of clinical experience in manual orthopedic therapy, sports rehabilitation, geriatric/neurological/cardipulmonary disease and dysfunction. Additional training in treatment of the hand and wrist, aquatic PT and exercise during pregnancy. Member of APTA Private Practice, Sports and Orthopedic sections. Past certifications: group exercise instructor (YMCA) and Mom's in Motion (Sarah City Workouts). Former Cat3 USCF competitive cyclist and collegiate Track and Field. Prior employment: NARH, Willowood Nursing Homes, Interim Home Health Care, Burke Rehabilitation, White Plains, NY. Native of Worcester, MA and resident of Berkshire County since 1993.
Jennifer received her B.A. in Biopsychology from Vassar College and a M.S. in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in 2000. Jennifer has 17 years of experience of Physical Therapy and has been a member of the APT team for the past 3 years, providing outpatient rehabilitation. Jennifer has acquired advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation assisting our clients with dizziness, vertigo, vestibular hypofunction and imbalance. She has extensive prior experience in geriatric and subacute facilities caring for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, as well as acute neurological and cardiopulmonary episodes.
Shannon received her A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant from Berkshire Community College in 2001. With 15 years of experience, Shannon has focused the past 12 years in outpatient physical therapy with experience treating orthopedic and sport rehab diagnoses, geriatric, acute care and pediatric dysfunctions. She has also attended continuing education seminars in kinesiology taping for joint and neuromuscular dysfunction. Shannon knows how to keep therapy fun and light, with many noticing how much laughter is resonating from the rehab gym when Shannon is around!
Jeanna received her A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant from Maria College, Albany, NY in 1990. Jeanna has worked for Adams Physical Therapy since August 2014. She has extensive experience in manual therapy, orthopedic and subacute rehabilitation. Jeanna primarily works in our office on Fridays, as she provides homecare services to clients in need through the VNA of VT and VNA of the Berkshires during the week.
Helen earned her A.S. in PTA from Berkshire Community College in 2015. Since then she has worked in outpatient physical therapy, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and Early Intervention. Prior to coming to APT, Helen worked for Berkshire County ARC for four years. Her previous certification is in pedorthics, and she performed gait analysis at Super Runners Shop in New York City for 15 years. Helen is a former competitive middle and long-distance runner, and was a member of New York University's cross-country team and Moving Comfort New York.
JUDY LEBLANCOffice Manager
Judy attended Berkshire Community College for administrative and medical coursework. Judy has over 30 years of experience working in the medical field. She has been with Adams Physical Therapy since our opening in July 2011. Judy's compassionate personality, dedication to her job and past experience working in a rehabilitation department makes her a tremendous asset to our front office processes and all of its operations. Prior employment: NARH, Berkshires Life, Berkshire Health Systems.
ALISHA HAMPTONBilling Specialist
Alisha graduated in 1992 from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH with BA Fashion Merchandising/Buying. She also attended Fashion Institute of Technology, NY, NY -Associates Fashion Merchandising Management 1992. Alisha has experience in business management in the fashion design, building/contracting industries. Alisha joined Adams PT in 2013 assisting with front office processes/ scheduling, billing and claims follow-up. As of July 2015, Alisha assumed our billing specialist role, obtaining patient insurance eligibility status, managing insurance claims and payment processes.
CINDY BIRDFront Office Staff
Cindy received her A.S. in Administrative Secretarial studies from BCC in 1988, and most recently, her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from MCLA in May 2016. Currently, she is in the MEd program at MCLA for Elementary School studies. Cindy previously worked as a Unit Secretary in various departments at the former North Adams Regional Hospital for 26 years. Cindy joined Adams Physical Therapy in August 2016 and assists with front office processes, scheduling and customer service.
