Summer is fast approaching! Planting season is here. Try to protect your back by practicing proper body mechanics when able, such as squatting, kneeling, and keeping your spine straight when bending, pulling and reaching. Also avoid twisting of your spine and practice moving as one unit. Consider use of a kneeler as pictured below to help alleviate strain on your back as you perform your gardening tasks.
